Carmela has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, interpersonal relationship, life stressors and change of life transitions. She is trained in Gottman Couples Therapy and is a credentialed Somatic Experiencing practitioner who works extensively with PTSD, developmental, and complex trauma and a range of anxiety disorders. Carmela holds a CASAC from New York State and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment with both individuals and families impacted by addictions.
